I chose the most conventional of subjects for this project. Abelardo Morell (b. 1948 Havana, Cuba) was my muse as I began to noodle with flowers. His collection of images in “Flowers for Lisa” is truly “A Delirium of Photographic Invention.” My first image, “Mood Indigo,” is the one most influenced by Morell’s techniques. The others just happened.
The images don’t necessarily tell a story, although the viewer is always free to create one. In keeping with the Abstract Rhythm and Blue Notes theme, I chose titles from some of the jazz greats.
